A Week Of Recognition

In just one week three awards have made their way back to Production Park, Wakefield. We were also named in Yorkshire’s Top 50 Fastest Growing Companies. A fantastic achievement for the Production Park community.

TPi Awards – Monday 26th February 2018

The week began at the industry renowned TPi Awards, the annual ceremony that acknowledges the achievements of people and companies working within the live events production sector. Production Park companies, LS-Live, Brilliant, Perry Scenic Creative and Cato Music were named as finalists for a variety of awards.

TPi Awards

It was Brilliant who scooped up one of the main prizes by been named ‘Favourite Set Construction Company’ for the major projects they completed throughout 2017. This was made even more impressive by the stiff competition that they faced on the night, firmly cementing their place as one of the world leading stage and set production companies.

A special mention goes to Production Park friends KRS Rigging Services and Beat The Street too who picked up TPi awards for Favourite Rigging Company and Favourite Bussing Company, respectively.

Event Production Awards – Wednesday 28th February 2018

The following day, Brilliant (working with VML Technologies) was awarded the prize for ‘Best Use of Technology at an Event’ for the 80m LED sphere they created for Expo 2017 Astana, this time at the Event Production Awards.

The 80m diameter twisted sphere was the centrepiece of Expo 2017 in Astana Kazakhstan. With over 125,000 pixels embedded in the window mullions, it was one of the largest and most complicated video facades in the world.

On the Thursday, it was the turn of Production Park as a collective to be acknowledged when we won the Collaboration Award at the Made In Yorkshire Awards.

This award recognised our core values which are based around interaction, co-working, collaboration and learning. This is an award that we are very proud to receive as ‘collaboration’ is at the heart of what we do.

To top off a fantastic week, Production Park was also named in the 2018 Ward Hadaway Fastest 50 as one of Yorkshire’s fastest growing companies and is now in the running for a Fastest 50 award. The ceremony takes place at Aspire in Leeds on 16th March.
