CentR Stage – Hospitality Supervisor

Production Park is a unique support environment for the live events industry, one that unites technology, creative spaces, and education. CentR Stage is the hub in the centre of the Park, where everyone meets to eat, drink, network and socialise.

 

Reporting to the Café & Hospitality Manager, you will work closely together to lead the day-to-day operation of CentR Stage and ensure smooth running of all hospitality requirements onsite within the Café and private dining areas.

 

Key responsibilities:

 

Front of House

 

·       The Front of House Supervisor will lead the Front of House team, overseeing productivity, motivation and creating monthly staff rotas.

·       The Front of House Supervisor will ensure the smooth running of the hospitality operation and act as a Duty Manager during opening times.

·       The Front of House team will deliver a friendly and efficient service to customers, members and external touring companies to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere with the key aim of retaining existing business and attracting new customers.

·       You will be required to manage, train and supervise staff and delegate work as required within all areas of the hospitality function such as Café Front of House and onsite Studio catering areas.

·       Overseeing the cleanliness of the bar and all other onsite dining areas.

·       You will be sympathetic to the needs of any touring/ production company and always go above and beyond in providing first class customer service.

·       The role requires someone with strong leadership and entrepreneurial skills.

·       You will need to carefully balance Production Park’s business enterprises and CentR Stage’s requirements to ensure harmonious and profitable outcomes for all.

·       Communication is key in ensuring the café and hospitality function runs smoothly.  The Front of House Supervisor will be pivotal in ensuring relevant information is passed on between colleagues and clients.

·       Be familiar with and adhere to all Health & Safety policies and procedures including Fire Evacuation Policy

 

Venue Tour/Hire Operations

 

·       Act as the main hospitality contact for all Client Hire bookings, and ensure all set up requirements are arranged.

·       Work with the Café & Hospitality Manager & Production Park Ops Team on the hire booking process acting as one of the main points of contact for all visiting/touring companies.

·       Liaise with venue hire clients, and deal with all requirements and queries concerning Front of House contractual Catering / Hospitality agreements.

·       Produce necessary paperwork in relation to the Catering / Hospitality booking process.

·       Carry out regular walk rounds of all areas to ensure high standards are maintained.

 

Administration

 

·       Operate as Café & Hospitality Manager in their absence, being aware of who our customers and clients are to provide the best possible service.

·       Devise and maintain office systems to encourage optimum productivity with administration processes.

·       Populate the rota with shift requirements together with the Café & Hospitality Manager.

·       Monitor Front of House staff duties, liaising with Café & Hospitality Manager, Head Chef and Production Park Ops Team.

·       Manage the stock system including regular stock checks, ordering and monthly stock takes across all sites.

·       Bringing thoughts and ideas for improvements to the front of house operations to the Café & Hospitality Manager.

 

Human Resources

 

·       Be a motivational supervisor to all members of the team.

·       Carry out the necessary induction paperwork for any new staff, and ensure you follow the company HR procedures.

·       Assist with recruitment and staff training sessions where appropriate.

 

Other Duties

 

·       To undertake any duties that may reasonably be requested by the Café & Hospitality  Manager or Production Park Management.

·       Assist the Cafe Manager in monitoring all spending, ensuring that value for money is achieved in all transactions.

·       Responsible for daily HACCAP procedures within the business.

 

Person Specification

 

·       Reliable and punctual with a high standard of personal presentation.

·       Works with focus on attention to detail in a high-volume sales environment.

·       Experience in customer focused role and proven commitment to customer service.

·       Works efficiently and effectively under pressure whilst maintaining a friendly and helpful manner.

·       Excellent communication skills.

·       Proven ability to work as part of a team and independently utilise own initiative.

·       Experience of working front of house in a duty management or similar role is essential, working across multiple sites is an advantage.

·       Being able to understand the requirements of clients and carry this through to presentation and layout in all catering areas.

·       Able to determine the neatness, accuracy and thoroughness of the work assigned.

·       Demonstrate a creative and imaginative approach to problem solving.

·       Previous experience of leading a team is essential.

·       Adaptable and flexible regarding working hours.

 

Min 40 hours per week

Salary £28000 - £30000 dependent on experience
