Job Description:
As Senior Bar Person you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the bar, ensuring the highest standards of service, quality, and customer satisfaction. You will play a pivotal role in maintaining a well-managed and profitable bar.
Main Responsibilities:
Ensure guests are very happy with service received in CentR Stage bar and café.
Ensuring all bar and storage areas are always kept clean and tidy.
To ensure all customers are served food or drinks as ordered.
To ensure that customers are made to feel comfortable and well looked after.
Place orders, when required.
Ensure stock is rotated, as standard practise. Check dates weekly.
Team Leadership:
Training and development of team of part time bartenders and bar staff.
Set clear expectations and provide ongoing coaching and feedback.
Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
Inventory Management:
Maintain accurate inventory records.
Manage supplier relationships, negotiate pricing, and order bar supplies as needed.
Minimize waste and control costs through effective inventory control.
Conduct monthly Stock checks.
Quality and Consistency:
Ensure all beverages are prepared to company standards.
Oversee the creation of unique and innovative cocktails.
Maintain a clean and organized bar area.
Ensure all stock is rotated to maintain appropriate usage
To maintain the cleanliness of all catering service areas including the Servery, centr stage, function rooms and back of house.
To make sure all equipment & utensils used are in a safe, hygienic working condition, and report any areas of concern to your line manager or senior supervisors.
Customer Service:
Interact with customers & staff to ensure a welcoming and memorable experience.
Handle customer feedback and resolve any service-related issues promptly and professionally.
Compliance and Safety:
Enforce responsible alcohol service practices.
Ensure compliance with all local and state regulations.
Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
To comply with all Food Hygiene and Health & Safety Legislation & COSHH Regulations, and develop a positive and proactive approach to training, administration & record keeping that may be necessary, and to always show due diligence.
Event Planning:
Plan and execute special events, promotions, and theme nights to attract and retain customers.
Professional standards and expectations
Adhere to appropriate standards of dress, personal hygiene, timekeeping, and behaviour.
To be positive & professional when communicating with members of our community, kitchen staff and guests, always.
To respond to guest queries in a timely and efficient manner – taking responsibility for dealing with issues to resolve them professionally.
To undertake such duties as required from time to time that may be reasonably expected within the level of the role.
To have a flexible approach to working hours and to be prepared to provide cover if requested.
Work in co-operation with all the departments on site at Production Park. Develop and maintain effective working relations with colleagues.
All Employee relations issues are dealt both professionally and legally in a fair and reasonable manner.
